Notes From A Kitchen

Working with the author, artist, filmmaker and photographer Jeff Scott and chef Blake Beshore, I co-designed this modern American cookbook with 2 other designers. Experimenting with textures and graphic overlays, this avant garde design won a Bronze Medal at the DSVC Dallas Show. I focused on the covers of the 2-volume set, the special edition slipcovers, over 80 pages from the books and various support materials including business cards, and t-shirt hang tags.

This was a passion piece I co-designed over many nights and weekends. Pushing the boundaries of textures, materials and layout aren’t often found in a corporate environment. Luckily I had a client that was crazy enough to let design flourish. This is the kind of inspiration I hope to bring to all my collaborations.
